The babies move out!

The baby chicks have been getting big and a bit crowded to be honest. I thought they had a couple more weeks in our basement, but Steve had had enough!

So, he moved them out today while I was at work. Good day to do it, since it was 75 and sunny! What a beautiful day.

Look at their hair! 

I just cannot handle this. 

I'm a little nervous for them. They will definitely figure out a pecking order (ha!) but I just don't like watching them pick on each other. Such is life, I guess. 

We'll keep them locked in there for a a little bit since they are still a bit small. They have their feathers, which will keep them warm if the temp drops, but they can fit through the fencing. So a few more days, possibly weeks.
