A super fun weekend + Friendsgiving!

Sorry guys! I feel like I haven't had time to write in forever.

Life is busy. Now that we're upon the holiday season, it's just getting busier.

My sister's birthday is next week.

Ava's birthday party (she turns 5!!!!) is hopefully going to be on December 7.

So much to do!

BUT, this weekend is going to be fun! It'll be a busy one, I'm excited.

Steve's schedule flipped, so he'll be home on weekends for the next 4 weeks.

Tomorrow we have a grand opening to attend, then shopping for Friendsgiving! We are having a friend and her daughter come over for some delicious food, drinks and catching up!

Holidays movies, wine, food, desserts. Nothing better.

I ended up not getting ANY photos. We were busy chatting and having a good time! If I find any, I'll come back and post later.

We had a GREAT weekend. We spent Saturday at our daycare provider's Grand Opening for a kid's FunZone in our town. Tons of stuff to do and a great place for kids of all ages!

Huge bounce house, foosball, air hockey, dance floor, basketball, Toddler Town (a bunch of 'shops' and 'stores'), a dinosaur dig site, and more!

Since it was the grand opening, there was face painting, balloon animals, snacks, refreshments, fruit, etc. It was great!

Steve ended up joining us for a bit and I was able to hit up grocery shopping while they stayed and played.

The menu for Friendsgiving:
- Roasted chicken (rotisserie for the win, again!)
- Mashed potatoes
- Corn
- Squash (I was going to make sweet potatoes, but then everyone told me squash is preferred!)
- Broccoli
- Chocolate cake for dessert

And the moms polished off a bottle of Cherry Vodka (mixed with Coke and it's seriously amazing!)

We stayed in jammies ALL day/night and got to chat until midnight.

This is a girl who I've known a LONG time. She watched Mila as a baby (until she was almost 3) so I have a lot of love for this woman.

She's going through a lot and I'm glad I can be a friend for her during this time.

Her kids are getting old and it's freaking me out! LOL.

Her 11 year old spent the entire time with my girls and they just loved it. As soon as they left Sunday, Mila was sad and asked when they could come back.

Well, we're going to have a Christmas Cookie decorating party! So in a couple of weeks they'll be over again for more holiday fun.

Next time I promise to get some photos.

This is my last full week of work before I'm off for a full week!

So I just have to make it through this week. I have plans for next week!

Grocery shopping to prep for all my sides for Thanksgiving at Grammy and Papa's house.

Christmas shopping with my Boobie since Mila will be in school and we'll have some 1:1 time together.

Oh, and Steve decided that he was going to go get Mila some skis for this year. There's a good "grow with you" program at the store, so we'll be able to turn in her skis as she outgrows them and get a deal on a larger set.

Lots of new blogs to come, folks. I will have some time off and will be making more of an effort to document the craziness!

To be honest, part of me is super lazy to get the camera/phone out to take pics when it's literally freezing out, my hands are wet and cold and gross, etc. But, I will do it! I love blogging and find it very therapeutic.

Back soon, peeps.
