Busy, fun-filled weekend!

We had a good weekend. First weekend with Steve working Saturdays (for the next 4 weeks).

I worked from home Friday (hooray for my flexible job!) and I was able to get a lot of chores done during the day, in between work.

For me, when I'm working from home, I take the same amount of "breaks" to rest my eyes, refresh myself, get organized, get a drink, a snack, etc.

I generally work from about 8:30 - 10:30am then I take a short break.

I went out and checked on the chickens, let out the teenagers, gathered some eggs.

I also went grocery shopping - it's a totally different world to go grocery shopping alone, and on a week day!

It's definitely starting to feel like Spring around here!

My tulips!

Ruple Farms - green onions
These green onions survived the winter somehow. I'm going to transfer them to the new garden.

Saturday was a lazy day for us. I primed the island cabinet/doors (post to come later on that), and that made me realize that I really, REALLY want ALL my cabinets white!

Sunday, Steve took the girls 4-wheeling with some friends. The friend lives on a farm and has animals, equipment, and lots of stuff for kids to explore!

These two donkeys are mother and daughter. The owner said that he'd let us have (buy?) them at some point. Uh, YES PLEASE! They are 35 years old and 17 years old.

Friend also owns several gravel pits, so the kids had fun playing.
