For one, my company is growing crazy fast and not only do I have my normal (and getting busier) workload, I'm also looking for any new potential hires. Reviewing resumes and interviewing people is such a time suck.
And why do these young folk want so much money when they have like, no experience?

We've recently won a few pieces of business and I'm looking for support staff for myself and another Account Supervisor (who manages a whole other set of accounts that I do not touch...for now - see below).
My counterpart (and direct report) is going out on maternity leave in less than 5 months. I know that seems like it's far away, but in Advertising world, it's gonna be here in a hot second. I have schedules that go beyond that.
I will be taking over her accounts while she's out for 4 months. And she deserves to take as much time as she wants and needs and not have to think about work. At all. Ever. Maternity leave just goes by so quickly. It's never enough time.
And, Friday, I handed over my new MacBook Pro (the one I got when I got hired) for a fucking dinosaur (first world problems, folks! It's like a 3 year old MacBook that I have as a loaner) but this thing is HUGE, the buttons are weird the the trackpad is...clicky. The spinning beachball of death makes its appearance way more than I'd like.
ANYWAY.
I've been busy.
We've been busy.
My weekends have been spent helping Steve build a deck.
Work as I mentioned is just crazy - I mean, fantastic, but crazy! We just hired a friend of mine, who I met at my last job. She's a PR powerhouse and I'm stoked that she has joined our team. I have plans, me and her. We're gonna grow the shit out of this place. Well, that's my hope!
What else...my mom arrives in a couple of weeks and I'm very excited for her visit! Having mom home just feels...like home. Her food. The way she walks. My aunt and my sister will be over as well while she's in town, so, we're looking forward to it. She'll be here for 2.5 weeks - one of those weeks our daycare provider is on vacation, so that's what prompted the visit to begin with.
She'll be here through Labor Day, and then school starts, which is INSANE to me!
Some photos, as of lately:

My morning glories are insane! So pretty.
Night swimming is so fun! We will be getting lights out here so it'll be illuminated.
So, we had this huge bees nest in this bush. Steve got stung once while mowing. We didn't have any bee spray, so we torched it.
