Seriously. What. A. Week.

It's only fucking Tuesday.

Mila had a 101.8 degree fever Sunday night. We gave her Tylenol and sent her to bed.

She woke up with a 100 degree temp. So gave another dose of Tylenol and kept her home from school and Steve took off work for the morning to stay with her. I had two client meetings that I needed to be at.

I got home around 3:20 to relieve Steve and he told me her temp went back up and he gave her another dose at 2:15.

At 7:30 prior to bedtime, I checked her temp again and it was back up to 101. I dosed her again and sent her to bed.

She woke up with a 99.9 temp, so I thought we were on the mend. I didn't medicate.

I was doing work at the island and chatting with a fellow coworker/mom and she asked if Mila's temp was up/down and I told her I hadn't checked since this morning.

So I checked and it went up to 101.8 again.

Called the doctor and she got us an appt 45 minutes from the time I called - which meant we had to hustle!

We got there with 5 minutes to spare.

Turns out it's some nasty virus that could linger for a week or more. The fever alone can last 5+ days. That's a long time to have a fever! So far, no respiratory issues, which is always my main concern.

Her lungs were relatively clear, but to be safe, our NP called in her nebulizer steroid so we could do some preventative treatments.

I personally had an appointment myself, to take care of my tennis elbow and I really didn't want to have to reschedule. I obviously would have, if Mila was that sick. I asked how she was feeling and if she was up for a car ride. She said yes.

While we're waiting there, I get a text from daycare:

DCP: Ava has a temp of 99.5 and is acting a little bleh.
Me: Of course! The doctor this morning pretty much told me Ava would get it next. After my shot, I'm on my way.

So, after the SHOT IN MY ELBOW, we headed back to pick up Ava.

We'll all be having a sick day tomorrow.
