The Lion King

OMG you guys.

Finally.

It's been one of my dreams.

Steve and I are taking the girls to see The Lion King! I've been wanting to see this live on stage since it debuted on stage in 1997.

I begged my college boyfriend to take me when it was playing in Toronto. It was there for like 2 years and the douchebag never took me.

Fucker.

Anyway.

My ex-work-husband and his wife/family are season ticket holders to our local theatre. They go to all the great shows and get early-bird tickets for being season ticket holders.

I took Mila to see The Little Mermaid a couple of years ago with them and we loved it! It was nostalgic for me, as I remember my mom taking me to see Cats!, Phantom of the Opera, The Rockettes/Christmas show, and Steve taking me to see The Nutcracker during Christmastime.

So when I heard on the radio that The Lion King was in town, I immediately knew I had to get tickets and go.

So I went to lunch with my ex-work-husband and we got it set up!

We are sitting with his family and I'm soooo excited! The girls are pumped, although I'm not sure they truly get it. I'm super excited and I'm actually glad I get to experience it for the first time with my kids and that I didn't go with that douchebag ex-boyfriend!

We're going on December 23. It'll be so fun to dress the girls up in Christmas dresses (if they'll let me) and go to the theatre. (and OMG that I'm already talking about Christmas. LOL)
