Her actual birthday isn't until the 20th, and we all know how horrible it is to have birthdays around the holidays (that's my opinion anyway).
I almost forgot to throw a party.
Legit.
NOT ON PURPOSE.
I kept thinking "I have time."
And then it was Thanksgiving and I was like uhhhh.
I should probably get planning.
Oops.
So I got invites out ASAP.
We invited all her little friends from school.
I never want to have her party near her actual birthday because everyone is always busy. Family parties. Work parties. Whatever.
Venues are usually booked.
But, since the new Kidztown Funzone opened up (by our daycare provider), I knew I'd have a place.
Poor girl woke up suffering from some serious allergies.
The Benadryl started to kick in, so she started feeling better
Papa and Grammy showed up! It was a GREAT surprise for the girls!
Of course he's working on her arm ;)
We had a great time and Ava felt pretty dang special.
I can't believe my Bubba is going to be 5 in a couple of weeks.
I just can't.
I also had her parent/teacher conference last week and her teacher used the word "phenomenal" probably 10 times. I couldn't believe it.
This kid is a handful to say the least at home.
But apparently at school she's a star.
She is one of the older kids, and I'm really grateful for that.
She's patient.
She's kind.
She's super smart (her teacher said it!)
Her language skills are amazing.
Her progression from Fall to present time is fantastic.
Her penmanship is fantastic (she's been able to write her name since age 3 - it's only 3 letters!)
She's a good role model.
I couldn't be more proud of both of my girls.
