The girls are at the age where they are begging Steve to put up lights.
But with his recent surgery and everything we have going on, the last thing we need is another accident of some sort because we're trying to get lights up on the house.
But, like we do each year, we take the girls for a drive to look at Christmas lights.
There's one neighborhood relatively near us that we've been going to for a few years now. It started with maybe 6-10 houses in this neighborhood all go nuts with their lights. They put it to music and we tune in via a local radio frequency.
We've been going since Mila was a toddler and we'd put her in jammies, get snacks and drinks and get cozy in the truck with blankets and go driving around.
The neighborhood is getting more popular each year and more houses within the neighborhood participate. It's truly insane the amount of effort that goes into a production like this.
We'll see what they come up with next year!
Steve took the girls to Michael's one day while I was working and they picked up lights for our tree and some crafts! I'm impressed with the level of effort Steve went to.
This fun craft kept the girls busy for hours. I even got in on the fun and spent maybe an hour burning myself with the hot glue gun while my almost 6 year old kept warning me "be careful mommy...." with a look of complete doubt on her face. 😂
They made the cutest bunch of monsters!
Ava's snowman
On top of THAT. My BABY IS TURNING 6!
WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?
Need to start THAT planning as well!
