Bye, Friends

Welp, we spent NYE with another family.

Steve's BFF (and best man at our wedding) and his family.

They are moving to South Carolina.

We've all been friends since high school.

Even through college, new jobs, moves (omg so many moves) we've always considered Nick family.

100%.

His GF, Baby Mama, SO (also from high school) got pregnant at the same time that I got pregnant with Ava. They are only 4 days apart in age.

We did family things together and did joint birthday celebrations with the girls.

It was perfect.

Even though we lived in different towns (different counties), we tried to see each other month or so.

We go on vacation together. You know, Nick and his family are seriously like family to us. We're all very comfortable with each other.

When he lived in NYC, a group of us would go down and visit him every month.

We even did New Year's Eve at a Club in NYC (VIP, Baby!) when Nick was living down there.

Anyway, he's moving away.

And we had to say our goodbyes!

We've obviously known they were moving for a while now. But going to their house two days before they move? It's all packed up and...sad. That's when I really got sad. But, again, SUPER happy for them!

We spent NYE with them, although we didn't stay long enough to watch the ball drop together. Steve had to work anyway and met me and the girls at Nick's house after work.

We ordered food and talked about our vacation to visit them next year.

I didn't get any photos since we were enjoying each others' company and the girls literally ran circles around us - super fun when there's no furniture to get in the way!

We'll miss them for sure, but are so happy for them! We'll also now have a place to stay when we visit Myrtle Beach 👌
