Vacation Day 5 - The Last Morning

Like I mentioned, we had to be up and at 'em early Monday to get the boat back by 8:30am.

It was, of course, a GORGEOUS day on the river. Water was like glass. WTF.

We wanted to get a couple of group photos though.

Despite the weather, we did make the best of it. The kids had a blast and that's all that really matters, right?

We enjoyed each other's company - these are the people I feel like I can live with - and we are all looking forward to next year. We've already booked a new deck boat, we just need to secure a place to stay (the one place that we had booked already said it was too early and to check back in Feb...like what? Why was it listed then?)

I hope we can continue with this tradition for years to come! Rich and Andy have been coming up for years - since they were kids and I hope we can do the same for our kids.

Since the drive is only about 2.5 hours long, we made it home before noon. My mom was still at our house cooking, of course. LOL. It was really nice to be able to walk into your clean home with fresh food on the stove.

She apologized for not being able to mop my floors yet. WHAT? She's out of control.

We used the day to do 170 loads of laundry and get ourselves organized now that we're back home.

I'm SO grateful I took the next two days off of work. Recovering from vacation is REAL, folks!
