Working Out - 64 Weeks Into My Fitness Journey

You Guys.

I've been busy. So busy I forgot to post about completing my 64th week! (Last Wednesday)

I'm trying to soak up the last bits of Summer.

I'm still maintaining my workouts. I'm probably averaging 4-5 days per week still.

I'm definitely still watching my nutrition and making sure I am balanced when it comes to good, whole foods and junk. I still love me some ice cream and I WILL eat it at 9pm while sitting in bed. 

I'm holding steady around 110 - 112 pounds now.

I'm still using my 15lb and 20lb dumbbells for most of my exercises. I need to invest in some heavier ones but I'm still annoyed that they cost like $100.

I hate doing legs. DOMS are for real and it feels like I can't walk or sit for 3 days afterwards. 

However, that being said, I totally know that I'm not going to be able to grow my legs or glutes if I don't put some focus on them.

Round booties are hard to come by.

I cannot believe that the start of week 64 is September 1. What the actual fuck happened to Summer?

I'll be 40 years old in a few months and I'm the most confident I've ever been. I've never felt or been stronger in my life and I'm proud of my body for once (other than birthing babies, but you know what I mean). 

Clothes fit like they never have before. 

I don't feel bloated anymore. I used to think feeling that way was normal. 

Understanding what foods go in my body and what they are supposed to do feels different. I still splurge every once in a while because duh. I love all sorts of fried, yummy foods. But in moderation. That is very true. I also love ice cream and will NEVER give that up. 

But, I'm keeping at it and I'm still loving it. I'm working out about 4-5 days per week, but that's not because I'm lazy, but it's because we've been busy and I'm in the mindset of "I'm not going to let working out get in the way of me doing activities with others" like I won't skip out on a fun activity because I'd rather work out. If I can get my butt up in the mornings again and do it then, I'd be good. But, after some morning setbacks, I got into the routine of doing my workouts at like 5pm. 

With the girls back in school, I'll have to juggle my workouts again. I've been slacking on my early morning workouts, but really enjoy them, so I want to bring those back. 

On we go! 
I am still motivated to keep this all up during the winter months - it'd be nice to "bulk" if you will (I'm not sure I can keep up with that amount of calories to be completely truthful to actually bulk up but we'll see what I end up doing). I plan on being on our boat ALL SUMMER NEXT SUMMER so that will be my motivator for sure.
