Friendsgiving

I've ALWAYS wanted to do a Friendsgiving get together during the holidays.

It never works out and there's always just TOO MUCH GOING ON.

So we got on top of it early this year and it's next weekend!

We are frying two turkeys and of course all the trimmings and desserts.

I'm already thinking of decorations and all of that.

I ordered a 7ft tall pre-lit tree so it'd be extra festive.

The hosts are frying the turkeys (and I think smoking one) and I'm bringing some sides. Emily is bringing appetizers. I'm also going to bring a cookie tray.

We'll have so much food!

Steve is taking the day off since it's a Saturday and I'm SO glad we'll all get to hang out. Steve's schedule is annoying when it comes to things like this. Most people want to hang out Friday/Saturday evenings and Steve's always working. Granted his schedule works out great for the rest of our life including the girls school schedule.

I spent Friday afternoon cooking. I started around 3pm and stopped around 10pm.

I loved every second of it.

Homemade cookies for the win!

This was an earlier pic. I lost my phone for much of the party, so not a lot of pics.

Love me a good barn party

one of our friends brought these freaking things lol.

There was so much food! It was so nice to see my people and enjoy such good appetizers, food and desserts. These kids grew up together and I love watching them play.

My girls happen to be the only little girls of the group, so they did say to me "I wish there was just ONE more girl in this group"...ugh. I feel ya girl. But, they do a great job keeping up with these crazy boys!

Now, one more Thanksgiving to get through (and with leftovers!) and then it's time for CHRISTMAS.
