Working Out - 84 Weeks Into My Fitness Journey

Here we go! 84 weeks complete!

Let's go back to the start of week 81.

I got my new stationary bike today and I'm pumped to try it out.

This is going to be one more thing to rotate into my routine.

It'll also help if I strain something again. It'll allow me some low impact cardio - well, depending on the class, that is.

I've found this class and it just seems like a lady/class I'd like to follow. I like the energy and it seems as though I can handle this. And it's FREE.

I'll report back on my thoughts and opinions of this bike.

As I mentioned in my previous fitness post, my current weight is somewhere around 116-117lbs. My plan is to start my cut in Feb (next week already!) Adding in more cardio will help with that cut, but I do not want to lose focus on my weight lifting. I want to get myself a rack so I'll be able to lift heavy using my barbell + plates.

I'm trying to remember what a good diet was. I'm slowly starting to incorporate those meals back into my diet. I'm learning how to season the shit out of everything because sometimes it can get bland.

After my first at home spin class. It's MUCH harder than it looks and I got my ass kicked!

I do enjoy the bike. I'm still adapting to it and need to figure out a couple of things to aid in my comfort. But it's a great bike so far that is KILLING ME.

My wrist is definitely starting to feel better.

I'm still not lifting what I was 4-6 weeks ago because I want to baby the wrist. I don't want to do long-lasting damage. 15lbs is about what I can handle right now in terms of back flies or lat flies. It's the position my wrist is in that causes pain. So I can't do regular supine bicep curls, but hammer curls are fine.

I got myself more regular protein powder, so I will start incorporating that back into my diet as well. It's been a while since I've been consistent with any kind of protein intake.

When I was grabbing fruit cups and fruit pouches for the girls' school lunches, I found some whey protein versions. They are pricey, I'll give you that, but so far, 2 our of the 3 I got are good.

This one is actually pea protein, which I found to be rather good.

This is my lunch today (Jan. 10). The whey protein pouch was delicious!

I'm trying to find a cadence for cycling/spinning (what's the correct term, anyway?) so far, I've enjoyed 20 minute beginner rides tacked on to my weight training routine.

Yesterday I did arms and abs and then a 20 minute ride, which turned out to be 3.75 miles. With lots of changes in resistance and RPMs.

I'm also starting to get the hang of the terminology and such which makes it easier, obviously to follow along.

Today (January 10) I did 30 minutes of power yoga and then a different 20 minute beginner ride. This was was about 4.5 miles.

I am thoroughly enjoying the cycling session after my first weight training session. It's extending my work out times to be about an hour and I've typically stayed in the 30-40 minute range (just for lifestyle, time constraint purposes). So I'm not sure about adding this in to every work out, but it's nice to have the option.

I did sign up for the 2-month free trial of Peloton and of course I like it. So many choices to choose from. Different music, instructors, levels, intensity, etc.
Another delicious flavor

It's very difficult to get pics of my back. Flexing and trying to aim and focus. Ugh.

I don't know when the above pic was taken - I think around 6 months ago - I'll need to come back and confirm. But the bottom pic is today. I think I see a difference?

I am very much enjoying these little protein pouches. Great for me to add on for my macros and super easy, convenient and tasty.

I did not *love* the Sweet Potato Apple flavor. I mean, I ate it, but it's my least favorite so far. My favorites are Mango Coconut and Tropical, however the berry flavors are so far delicious as well.

I also ordered a case of these drinks. Whey protein. Another way to supplement my protein intake throughout the day. It's really hard to consume 100g of protein a day!

I did a sample day of tracking Macros just to see.

There is a LOT of room for improvement.

I need to cut a lot of carbs out. My extra cup of coffee and the damn ice cream sandwich put me way over my carb allotment.

Now remember, this is for a CUT. This is based on a 1500 calorie day.

I also realized I ate like no veggies today! Other than my pea snack and my protein pouch which was a vegan variety.

Here is another sample of my counting macros last week.

It's good to track even if I'm not eating clean. This allows me to see what I'm actually putting into my mouth. And it shows how much junk I am really eating.

January 23. Like my watermelon socks? lol

Weighing in around 117lbs

Again, terrible at back shots, but it's looking a little meaty back there!

I will be on our trip during the 84 week of completion. I'm not sure if where we're going has a gym (if it does? Bonus!) but I have no idea where we're going.

Steve is probably trying to throw me off, but he told me he's packing his suit (ok, fancy!) but he also says he'll need his Carhartts. Like wut?

So now I really don't know what to pack!

Anyway, I'm closing week 84 out on a high note for sure. Just hoping I can fit in some sort of physical activity while we're gone.

January 24

Heading into the season of "getting ready for summer" which is insane to think. But if I want to give myself an adequate amount of time to focus on fat loss, it hopefully won't be as stressful.

Let's keep at it, folks.
