Working Out - 92 Weeks Into My Fitness Journey

Has it REALLY been 92 weeks? It's so hard to believe how much my lifestyle has changed. 21+ months of continued dedication and self care.

Let's go back:

I'm still struggling to find motivation.

I've completed week 89 and I'm just uhhhh.

My workouts are great; my eating habits are SHIT.

I finally did a side-by-side comparison because I have been hitting legs/glutes a LOT more in the last 6 months or so.

Pic on the left is from last year. My weight was about 112lbs. The pic on the right is from March 1. I'm weighing in at 119 roughly in this pic. I should've been taking measurements this whole time but I haven't. But, #bootygains

That is motivating.

I've been trying to build my butt and I never thought I could have a butt. I always thought genetics would cause me to have a flat ass forever.

I feel the difference in my pants. I can't say I visually see it unless I'm doing a side-by-side like this.

But, summer is now right around the corner and I need to get my eating habits back on track.

I'm starting March off strong. This sunshine we've been getting lately has 100% helped my motivation.

Before we know it, it'll be SUMMER.

I need to remember to hit my macros every day or I risk metabolic adaptation in which my metabolism will start to slow if I don't eat enough food. I don't want my body to think I'm in starvation mode, so it'll expend less when I do more. If that makes sense.

I ordered a bunch of new summer stuff from SHEIN - this site is STUPID cheap, but the risk of things not fitting perfectly is there. I mean, some cute tops for $6??

I got 2 swim tops, 1 two-piece suit, a cover up, a tube top (for at home, duh), a flowy halter top for summer - this one was weird. The boob cups were HUGE and the shirt was an XS....so...yeah. Luckily my mom is pretty handy with sewing so she can help me out and adjust it a bit.

But, my point is, SUMMER IS ALMOST HERE.
I have mentioned before that I have incorporated spinning into my routine. So now I have lifting, yoga, spinning as my program.

If I do legs/glutes, I skip spinning.

I add it on to my upper body days and my yoga days (if I have the time to get in a full hour).

I've been using the Peloton app because it was free for two months. I've since canceled it because I don't need to be spending $13 per month on a fitness app. I've made it this long without one.

I'll miss those classes and then I got emailed this today:

It's cool to see the monthly recap.

Oh well. It'll be something I need to give up.

I have found other spin classes on YouTube that I like so I've been following those and think there's enough variety that I won't get bored.

My rides are averaging 4.5 miles and let me tell you, it feels really good to get a good sweat in.

My weight is still hovering around 117 - 119 on any given day.

Today I was at 117.2, which is lower than the last few days.

I'm definitely NOT tracking the half pound weight loss that I had planned on - however, I haven't been as disciplined either, so I can't be surprised that I'm not really seeing results.

Ok, phew!

I saw some results this past week.

I've been weighing in around 115 - 117 lbs on any given day.

I'm still working on improving my nutrition, but little bits of progress over the course of the last month has finally started to show.

March 18 (mom-pooch for life!)

March 18

I know this shouldn't matter, but the benefits of finally taking care of my body is that I feel confident in a swim suit.

Summer is right around the corner and I just bought a bunch of new suits. That is motivation for me for sure.

Mila's birthday trip is coming up soon as well and I also plan to be in a suit for the majority of that time. So, even though I tell myself that it's not what matters, it's definitely a point of motivation for me to feel good about myself.

Onward! Even though it's going to be 25 degrees out this weekend (like, what the actual FUCK??) I'm still in the mindset that warmer weather is really just around the corner.

Here's to tank tops, shorts and sandals!
