Jesus - late again!
112 weeks complete, people!!
Holy shit.
There's just less stuff to talk about.
I'm maintaining my weight, which is good, considering I manage a bowl of ice cream each night.
I'm keeping motivated to work out 4-5 times a week. Which is up a day from a month ago.
I'm also working on extending my workouts - even if it's by 5 minutes. Just that extra little oopmh, if you will.
Working out in 90 degree heat (no AC, although it IS much cooler than 90 in the basement), I sweat like a fucking pig.
Don't get me wrong, part of it is awesome. Sweat out the toxins!!!
But the other part is just so, so gross.
I failed to mention that I've been working out consistently for two whole years now.
For some reason I had 120 weeks in my head as two years, but duh, that's incorrect!
I'm pretty dang proud of myself if I do say so myself.
I'm maintaining my 115lb physique as of late and I'm happy with that. Vacation is in a little more than 2 weeks and if I keep it up, I'll feel good!
I'm not limiting what I'm eating, I'm just being mindful.
I'm working out consistently 4-5 times per week. I'm lifting heavier than I have before and it feels amazing.
I'm able to do my shoulder workouts using only my 15lb and 20lb dumbells.
I remember when I could barely lift 8lbs over my head.
I can do a bicep hammer curl using 20lbs for 14 reps, unilaterally, or for 40secs, 3-4 sets in. I do have to drop down to 15lbs around set 2, but I'm still pushing. I clearly remember not being able to curl a 10lb dumbbell and I literally feel stronger.
I did a lower body work out the other day that I hadn't done in ages. Not sure why, it just kinda fell out of rotation. I mean, it was HARD, so maybe that's why. LOL.
Anyway, I CRUSHED it the other day. Burned more calories doing it this time than I had before. I didn't struggle as badly as I did before. I still struggled, don't get me wrong (that's how we get better, right?) but I wasn't dying like I was before.
I'm LOVING salad kits recently. Such a great side to any protein. |
Working on them shoulder caps |
Flexing them quads. Why does my head look huge here? |

Post workout glow. And major humidity. |
It's REALLY hard to get back shots. I need to invest in a tripod. |
Embrace the tiger stripes. #stretchmarks |
I have to say that the number one more important thing I've found to be, is consistency.
It's key.
One bad day won't derail me, just like one great day won't make me huge.
I'm happy with my lifestyle habits that the past TWO YEARS have given me. TWO YEARS of being consistent and making sure to prioritize myself.
I'm proud of my journey so far and I'm excited to see the growth the next few years bring. Lifting and gaining muscle won't happen in a year or two. I can't wait to see my side by side pics in like 5-7 years.
Anyway, here's to the next four weeks! It's the end of summer now, so I'm really trying to soak it all in. If that means I don't get a work out in, because I'd rather be in the moment and be with friends and/or family...so be it.
Cheers!
