Wedding Time! Travel Day and Rehearsal Dinner

I've traveled a lot these last couple of months. I think it's been about 2 times per month for the last 4 or so months?

This time I'm traveling for personal reasons and I'm SO EXCITED.

My best friend in the entire world - her baby sister is getting married in Louisville, Kentucky and I've been invited.

It'll be my first *real* time in Kentucky. Not that I'll see much of it.

I leave Thursday and I'm excited for so many reasons.

I started packing DAYS in advance because I'm so excited.

It helps me visualize everything to lay it all out.

I've gotten pretty efficient when it comes to packing for 2-5 days.

Not only do I get to see my BFF, but we get to hang for multiple days in a row...and it's a family wedding.

And I won't know many people - just her family basically. So that's awesome. They invited me to stay with them at the AirBnb they rented.

We joked that I should make up some crazy story about who I am, just for funsies.

But not only am I considering this a few days of vacation with my BFF, but I decided to upgrade my flight to first class on the first leg of my flight. It was only $50. And while it's only to NYC, I figured it'd be worth it to try it once in my lifetime.

I also upgraded to Comfort+ for the rest of the flight because why not??

I finally figured out my TSA Precheck issue and was able to go through this line. Grateful because it was INSANE at the airport at 4:45am!

First Class

LaGuardia renovated and it's gorgeous.

The rehearsal dinner is Thursday night, so that will be a long day for me, having been up since 3am! My flight out of Rochester is at 5:40am. Which means I need to be at the airport by like 4:30 so I can get through security (hopefully my TSA Precheck is sorted out!!) and be ready to board right away. I want to get the most out of my first class experience as I can!

I'm going to wear the black jumpsuit, new little bowtie belt and new gold heels for the rehearsal dinner.

Beautiful room - my BFF's gorgeous daughter Olivia

My Bestfriend for the last 18 years

The rehearsal dinner was lovely. It was nice to see everyone, catch up, eat and drink. Great start to a great weekend.

The young kids wanted to go out downtown after dinner, and us old people were ready for bed. Funny how things change so quickly. Those kids are between 25 - 30 and they seem so young to me!

Friday was going to be a chill day for me and my friend's husband, Tom, since neither of us are in the wedding (but stay tuned for my next post and find out how we became "grandpa and grandma" for the day, LOL). The rest of the folks were in the wedding party, so they had to be at the venue at 8:45am for hair and makeup, pictures, etc.

Hoorday for weddings!
