Holidays at the Office

We don't do "Elf on the Shelf" at home.

The first year, we put her up and left her in one spot.

We didn't name her.

Mila didn't seem overly involved.

I didn't want the pressure of having to put the damn elf somewhere and making it do something fun or wacky.

I'm not a Pinterest Mom.

I pin a lot of things.

I don't execute any of them.

BUT, that doesn't mean I don't enjoy it every once in a while.

My office is extra festive this year, I think because we've more than doubled in size.

I have to admit. Kinda cute coming into the office and not being sure where he/she is.

We didn't just do things within our office, either.

I may have mentioned that for Thanksgiving, we all signed up to adopt a family and provide them with a full Thanksgiving meal.

We broke into teams and each team really came through with a SHIT TON of food!

My team - team 2!

It felt SO good to be able to participate.

We ALSO partnered with a local children's center and "adopted" 20 kids. Each kid had 3 gifts listed and it always breaks my heart.

Kids should never have to ask for socks, under shirts, backpacks and stuff like that for Christmas.

Last year was the first year we did it and only had 8 kids, since we only had 15 employees!

We dropped off everything this week.

This time of year just makes my heart happy!
