Allergies Anyone?

I took the day off to handle a few family matters.

One being my poor kiddos having to go back for allergy testing.

We picked Ava up at normal time, picked up Mila at the same time and headed to lunch.

I don't lie to my kids about doctor's appointments or anything like that. If they have to get shots, I tell them. I tell them it hurts for a sec and then it's over.

These skin pricks aren't painful, but certainly uncomfortable. Then, if they react, the itching. THE ITCHING.

Interesting reading in the waiting room...

Ava was test for 65 things, as skin pricks.

My POOR BUBBA

She then needed to have 17 additional INJECTIONS into her little arm.

OMG I felt SO FUCKING BAD FOR HER.

Steve had to hold her from one side and I had to hold her from the other and pin both arms down.

The blood curdling screams that came out of her little body were horrendous. Just imagine getting 17 flu shots? ON ONE ARM?

She handled it like a fucking CHAMP though and other than the screaming, she didn't seem to fight it too much. 2 minutes and a lollipop later, she was good to go.

Mila also had to go and she had less, but the anticipation for her was crazy. Poor kiddo.

We made it out of there 2.5 hours after we got there. Some good news, some eh news.

I'm still grateful that my kids are healthy. Yes, chronic allergies and asthma is a PAIN, but it could be worse.

She got to have a popsicle for dinner.
