This fucking virus, man!
Like, WHAT THE FUCK, BRO. BACK OFF.
I could barely get control of my life as it was.
I don't live this insane life that is incredibly hard or anything.
But all the same, I got overwhelmed at times.
And now we add homeschooling to the mix.
So how are we doing it?
Honestly, I LOVE making fun worksheets for my kids.
That's the fun part.
I didn't make these worksheets; they came from school.
I'm SUPER grateful that in our school district, each child has a ChromeBook. From grades 1 - 12, each, individual kid gets their own.
They upgrade the ChromeBooks every so often and sent out a letter last year asking if any families wanted to purchase the used ChromeBooks. They were only $50 each, so I snagged one. Just in case.
We got it and then...it kinda sat there.
It didn't have the school program on it anymore; they had wiped it clean.
Cue homeschooling.
Mila's school asked us to pick up work packets and their ChromeBooks so they could continue their education during this pandemic.
Well, well, well.
Having a SECOND ChromeBook is literally a lifesaver.
Imagine Mila doing school on hers and Ava not having one at all?????
HAHAHAHAHA.
Not a situation I'd willingly put myself in.
So our second book came in quite handy.
I loaded Khan Academy for Kids on that sucker and sent girlfriend on her way.
She is so pumped.
These apps are interactive and since the ChromeBook is a touchscreen...well, Ava is having fun and learning!
What's cool is watching her "get it" - she's always been very observant and her instincts are generally right. So it was neat to watch her do one, and then FLY through the rest.
Mila is doing great with her assigned work - she knows her stuff more than I do, that's for sure.
So...this is what it is for the next month.
