Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a lovely Thanksgiving day.

Due to the state of our current situation, it's been advised that we limit gatherings to those only within our household.

We've "broken" that rule by spending time with my mom and sister and Steve's parents during quarantine.

Since it's my mom's first Thanksgiving home with us, we spent it with her. We stopped by our friend's house earlier in the day, then stopped at Steve's parent's for a little bit before heading to my mom's for dinner.

I made all the sides, which is my absolute favorite.

Mom made the turkey.

We had a pretty big spread! Not pictured: green bean casserole, dinner rolls and sweet potato casserole.

We failed to get a nice picture of the family and all the food in one pic, oops! We were too busy enjoying ourselves.

It was a great day and I have to say that while it was different this year, it was still very enjoyable for us. I'm grateful for my little circle and I'll say it again - while it was a shitty ass year, there are still many things to be thankful for.

We decorated Mom's house a bit, too. She's not a huge fan of seasonal decor, but I can't celebrate without it. I need the magic...and so do the kids. And once we got it all up, Mom looked super happy.

Mom is making homemade stockings that will go on the mantle.

Black Friday was pretty typical for me. I spent the day at home, shopping online. It was a complete lazy day for me and the girls. Poor Steve had to work.

I am all set for the girls - really trying hard not to overdo it. They have too much shit and are very lucky. We are going to have to go through their stuff and legit through some stuff out.

I may send the girls to my mom's house and do that.

While we are having decent weather, it's going to turn soon. We should be getting accumulation within a week or so, so I took the opportunity to get my snow tires put on.

I moved these suckers one by one from our shed.

So Saturday when I went back to Mom's house to hang, I took the opportunity to bring the truck to Steve's work so his guys could put them on for me. He can't lift anything yet, so it made sense to bring them there. Luckily mom lives like 7 minutes from his work.

I also kinda decided that while the girls were busy at my mom's house, I could do a little more shopping. It was "Small Business Saturday" so I stopped at this one little Farm House shop that has a lot of remade, reclaimed, handmade crafts and things. I used to go there more frequently, but since moving to the Lake, it's kind of a hike.

I picked up this gorgeous Christmas wreath made out of wine barrels.

So cute right? I also talked the seller down $5. I don't want to de-value the fact that it's handmade and made with love. Seriously. I know it's more than just the time it takes.

I went back to Mom's house and stayed for dinner before packing up and heading home.

Sunday was a gorgeous day (55 and sunny!) so we made sure to spend time outside. I took the dogs for a nice walk, made sure the chickens were topped up with food and water.

I also cleaned out my Piggy's cage.

I should've gotten a photo AFTER cleaning their cage. Ugh. So gross. Sorry. It's real life. What can I say? I replaced all their gross bedding with fresh pine shavings. I generally clean it out once a week, but I ran out of bedding and slacked getting more...so...it was time.

So cute, I can't even take it.

The girls and I also watched The Grinch (the 2018 version with Benedict Cumberbatch). Still so cute.

Nothing like a holiday weekend with family.

Now, on to Christmas!
