Official BIG KID

The day has finally come, folks. 

My itty, bitty, teeny, tiny Ava Mae has finally hit 40lbs. 

I'm actually surprised she got to 40lbs already. 

If memory serves me correctly, Mila was 6+ when she hit 40lbs too. Maybe it was sooner?

I dunno.

Anyway

She's been begging to wear a seatbelt in the car, instead of the 5 point harness. 

But, lucky for her, her mom is a car seat freak and know that she couldn't be in a seatbelt with booster seat until she hit 40lbs. The NYS law is the child has to be at least 4 years old and weigh 40lbs. Neither of my kids were close to 40lbs at 4 years old. 

Ava was probably still 30lbs at that point. 

But, Steve took them to their physical a couple weeks ago and he texted me to tell me she finally hit that weight.

So I told her we'd get the car seat changed over so we could use the seatbelt and this child was BEAMING.

She feels so grown up now.
