Saturday's weather improved a LOT.
We had already made plans to visit a couple of castles while we were there. I hadn't visited any of them before and being so close...it didn't make sense. So we knew before we even got here that we wanted to tour a couple of castles.
Because the weather wasn't so great, we opted for a couple of indoor tours to make the most of our time.

The boat ride was a little chilly, but we kept seeing glimpses of the sun. We had hope. |

Nothing makes me happier than being on the water with my friends |
Emily is sneezing in the background, lol. But the point of this photo is to show how my husband dresses for the boat. Work boots and all. |
Coming up on the Castle. Stunning. |

Me and Trista with Em photobombing. |
Mila was SO excited to see a library |

An old-ass sewing machine |
Secret passageways all throughout the castle (which was built fully in 2 years) |
The dining room was meant for ONLY dinner. |
This one is going in a frame |
A secret room behind the painting. Used for the staff so they could see when guests needed a refill or something else they could tend to. |
The oldest Mah-Jong game I have ever seen. |
We left Singer Castle and headed back to our island. On the way back, we experienced boating by these HUGE container ships.
The weather was decent at this point, so the kids wanted to play. |
Jet Ski rides are always a good time. |
Kenny riding. This boy is the most athletically inclined kid I've ever met. He can do literally anything. |
We then headed over to Boldt Castle.
Stunning! |
Captain Rich. |

This is the spot where he proposed |

10 years later! |

Rich treated everyone to ice cream |

Little Miss got her sorbet!

The weather was nice as we ended the evening on Saturday. The kids played and we got to just hang and enjoy ourselves. We didn't have quite as late a night as Friday night, since we wanted to be good for Sunday.
We knew Sunday was going to be the best day yet in terms of weather, so we were ALL looking forward to it.
If only we knew what was to come.
