The First Day of School

Even though I'm trying my hardest to hang on to the last bits of summer, the First Day of School is always the "OFFICIAL" end of summer.

We had a fun summer and it went by so quickly!

We had a vacation, my dad's visit, summer camp, and before we knew it, we were getting ready for school.

This year, both girls are attending 5 days a week, in-person instruction. Our district did offer a virtual option, but we think the girls need to be in school with their peers.

We are opting to drive them to school and have them take the bus home.

This will help my schedule a lot. For drop off, we have to leave the house around 8:15. I'm back home around 8:45.

I used to have to leave my house around 2:30 to go pick them up - dismissal is at 3pm. I had to wait in the pick up line for 30 minutes...I would get home around 3:30 but it was tough to get back into the swing of work things while also getting snacks, school stuff out of the bags, papers signed, etc.

Now, since they will be taking the bus home, they will get home around 3:45-4pm.

I will plan to have snacks ready and available and hopefully, I won't need to do TOO much. Work does tend to wind down after 4pm...

For the first time ever, I dropped off Benadryl, Epi Pens and Emergency Care Plan BEFORE school started! I was very proud of myself.

I'm very familiar with this Nurse's office

Lots of renovations happening

Morning of. Making lunches. Eating breakfast.

Good luck, girls!
