Video Shoot - Apples Anyone?

If you follow me IRL, you'll know that the girls and I participated in another video shoot.

6 years ago the girls and I were in a Ford commercial. It ran SO MUCH that we were being recognized out in public! Insanity I tell you.

We were asked to be in an "Apple Picking" video for one of my clients at work.

Sure. Who doesn't love apple orchards and picking apples?

Besides, I love being in front of a camera! LOL

ANYWAY.

We had to be on set by 7:45am and we had about a 45-minute drive.

I woke the girls up around 6am and we did a quick breakfast and got in the car before 7am.

We arrived on set just about on time and immediately got dressed.

Lots of people were milling around as the crew got their shots inside the establishment.

Having been on both sides of the camera, as both talent and as a production assistant, I kind of know my way around a set. I know to check where I'm walking to make sure I'm not in anyone's shot, I know to be quiet and ask if they are capturing audio.

Once I knew where the girls and I could change and set up, I went back to get them (I left them in the truck while I scoped it all out - I didn't want them running around and interrupting anything).

This is Ava's "smile" - I told her it looked very fake and tickled her.

So then I got this - that's why it's blurry because I was poking her for a real smile.

Ready to go! I just can't with the outfits. SO CUTE. All of this was bought at Old Navy. Ava's skinny jeans just kill me.

It was a beautiful day; enough cloud cover and a nice breeze

This is one of my new fave pics!

so many cute little hang out areas

Fake tart

There are several shots I'd like to share, but due to some client privacy issues, I won't be posting them until the video is actually live.

They were beat. Woke up at 6am, on set at 7:45am, wrapped around 1pm.

My Bubba.

The girls did great and I'm very proud of them! I kept them as informed as I possibly could and just asked for their best behavior and to listen to the directors as much as possible.

They were so good. I did get them set up though - I found a bench, moved it to some shade, found a red wagon, propped my phone up on it, got their show up and fed them popcorn and water.

The owner of this Farm (been around since 1986) stopped to chat. I didn't realize it was the owner and his son until we chatted for a few minutes and I told them that Steve and I both grew up very close to there and had been going to the original that used to be across the street since we were very little.

Once the YMCA and apartments moved in, they moved out and across the street to a larger plot of land they already owned.

These were the NICEST people.

He was like "wow you really got a set up over here don't ya" and I'm like "YEP haha" and I'm telling you - it worked! The girls didn't complain at all.

I got them McDonald's on the way home and let them chill out for the rest of the afternoon.

These should start airing some time in September (gasp - which is TODAY! WTF how did that happen?!)
