Birthday Trip Day 2 - First Full Day in NYC (Wednesday)

We woke up SUPER refreshed and rested. The bed at this hotel is incredible.

One thing I hadn't noticed when we first got here:

There's a TV in the mirror. So cool! Not to mention the fancy toilet that has a heated toilet seat.

Our hotel is like 5 steps from GMA, so we stopped by to see if we could see anyone. Here's George!

And Michael Strahan!

Walking to breakfast

Not disappointed. This was an amazing avocado toast with poached egg. Delish.

We decided to check out the Museum of Natural History since we hadn't been in over 10 years (we looked it up, we went November of 2010) so we took a cab over there.

We picked up a hat on the way for him since he's rocking a bald head these days. It was cold out!

I told Steve I should've arrived to our wedding in one of these๐Ÿ˜†

Who's that handsome guy? I know it's blurry but I wanted to mention is outfit - ON POINT, SIR.

I about died looking at this Jack Rabbit. Check out those ears and those legs! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Dude. This tree? Chopped down in the 1800's using fucking axes.

We spent over 2.5 hours at the Museum and it was very cool. We saw a lot of things we either didn't look at before or are new exhibits. I'm assuming because of the day and time we went, it wasn't busy at all. There were a few groups going through but it was not at all overly busy. If we felt like it was getting crowded, there was ample space to move about to find a less congested area.

What a gorgeous (albeit a bit chilly) day to walk about NYC.

M&M store. Yes, we may have spent $49 on NYC exclusive flavors (like brownie batter, toffee&coffee!)
Come ON people! So good.

We picked up a couple slices to eat back at the hotel (love that "Bills Mafia" is in the pic!)

Theatre District.

DUDE. Slices and Netflix.

We rested and napped for a bit in the afternoon and then headed out again around 5pm.

We had walked by this pastry shop earlier in the day and told ourselves we had to come back to pick something up. It IS our birthday, after all.

We grabbed a NY style cheesecake for Steve and a chocolate mousse cake for me.

We are eating leftover pizza because neither of us are super hungry.

Tomorrow we are going to try to hit up Ellen's Stardust Diner for breakfast.

Then, we have a special night planned for my 40th. I absolutely cannot wait.
