Rest Easy.

We attended calling hours and the viewing for the passing of a friend yesterday.

He had worked with Steve a while back and they stayed friends.

He was hilarious.

Huge heart, funny, funny guy.

Always ready for a good time.

He was a long-haul trucker and spent a lot of time on the road.

He was found deceased in his truck, pulled over on the side of a road.

We have our thoughts on what may have happened, but no official report has been made public (and we're not sure if it will be).

We caught up with people yesterday and mourned our friend.

The hardest part was seeing his mom and seeing the love of his life. They weren't together anymore, and hadn't been for quite some time - for a variety of reasons, but everyone knew they were it for each other. They were together for 10+ years and were perfect for each other.

THAT was hard.

Hugging her and telling her that we all knew how much Jeff loved her.

It was an open casket viewing and I wasn't prepared. Steve failed to tell me that part.

He looked like he was sleeping.

He had his Ford shirt, Prime hat and his sunglasses with him.

The photos of him on the TV showed his typical, happy self.

He would've been a great dad. Kids were just drawn to him. He was a big kid himself.

He will be missed.

Rest easy, friend.
