Working Out - 108 Weeks Into My Fitness Journey! (LATE!)

The completion of week 108 (OMG PEOPLE!) happens during 4th of July week.
And I'm a week late posting it.

Oops.

I've been struggling(?) to find a good balance between working out and enjoying time with family and stuff.

With the weather being so nice in the afternoons/evening, I'm choosing to spend time with the girls at the pool instead of spending 45 minutes working out. Generally after working out, I shower, make dinner, we all eat and then we settle in for the night.

It's hard to fit in an hour of swimming in there too.

That being said, I'm conscious of it and don't want to get too in the habit of skipping workout days.

I have spent time in the garden, sweating my ass off moving rocks and such, so that's counting a little towards my physical activity.

I've been feeling less motivated to blog about my fitness journey as it continues on.

I've hit a plateau of sorts in my weight and honestly, there's not much else to report on.

I'm definitely "taking it easy" this summer and trying really hard not to let my work outs interfere with spending time with my family.

Don't get me wrong, I still manage to fit in at least 4 workouts a week. Ok, sometimes it's only 3.

But I really try not to go more than 2 days without a workout.

I'm excited that I've ben able to use super fresh fruits and veggies in my shakes.

My mom and I went strawberry picking a few weeks ago and I froze a bunch of strawberries for this exact reason.

Then, I had given my mom a bunch of lettuce plants - and hers thrived. Bunnies ate literally ALL of mine.

I add in yogurt, ice and water.

I'm maintaining a weight of 115 - 117 still.

I just don't have the motivation to actually cut calories. I feel strong, I'm happy with my physique and that should be it, right?

I'm trying to get back the motivation I had before.

I'm really trying not to skip two days in a row, like I mentioned before, and I find that I definitely feel more motivated the more I keep going.

But the whole life balance thing - I don't want to miss out on a few hours of afternoon/evening swimming with my family to work out. By the time I'm done, the fun is almost over.

However, Steve's sister and her family are in town for 10 days. They are always busy during this time. Steve is also off for a week (his heaven week) and so they have a ton of activities planned.

Hooray for them, but meh for me.

I have to work.

BUT, the silver lining here is that since I'm home alone for more of the day, into the afternoon/evening hours, I have ample alone time to get a work out in. The last few days, they've all gotten home after dinner time, so by then, I'm already done with my workout and showered.

We'll see how my motivation goes as our vacation gets closer. We have just under 5 weeks before we go away for a few days.

I'd like to spend this time focusing on my nutrition, mostly. I haven't changed much in terms of lifting, other than trying to go heavier...but I have incorporated more HIIT style workouts into the mix.

So it will all come down to food.

My next fitness post will be about 3 weeks.

That should give me enough time to get my shit together.
