Adults Only!

It's our second time going out on "Blow Off Day", which is the Wednesday after July 4th. 

It originated to celebrate all who worked so hard over the holiday to help make it memorable for everyone, that people designated the following Wednesday to "Blow Off" of work and party.

I've been invited a couple of times from my one friend, but I was always asked at the last minute and I was always at jobs that just wouldn't accommodate something like that.

Until now.

And I plan for it.

Notice the gray skies and the fact that I'm wearing a jacket. It was COLD. And then it started to rain.

We watched these 3 boats pull in. Just insane.

Me and Missy. I've known this girl for 20 years. Her lake house is super close to where we were at the sandbar. 

It turned into such a gorgeous day

The house next to our friends' is under construction. They know the owner (I've met him a few times) and the downstairs is almost done. The last 3 years we've been hanging out here, this house has been under construction. It'll be DOPE when it's done! 

And then shit like this happens....

We had a great time! 

I mean, I stayed awake the entire time, so there's that. 

I vowed not to drink as much as I did last time and I didn't. I kept it under control the entire time, but definitely had a great time.

There's just something about listening to music, eating snacks, enjoying beverages at an adults-only event, on a boat. It's just so fun. 

We ended up back at Missy's house for a steak dinner at like 9pm.

Then we headed home. 

Looking forward to next year already!
