This is the third year in a row we've gone and we're so happy we were asked to join 3 years ago.
These two families have legit turned into family for me and Steve and I look forward to this vacation every single year.
What's funny, is that we already booked next year's vacation too! My one friend wanted to just get the booking out of the way - and get this - we're going for a full week and we're staying in a God Damn Mansion. (I'll do a separate post about it later).
Anyway.
This vacation is the kind we'll remember forever.
Our kids will remember growing up together.
They won't know life without having memories of each other. Like, they won't remember a time they didn't know each other. I could die. ðŸ˜
Ok, stop getting emotional, Ruple.
Steve and I actually have Chris Stapleton the night before vacation, so I'll be high anxiety/excitement leading up to that week for sure.
The girls will be spending the night at my mom's so we can enjoy the concert (which happens to be at the venue in our town, like 10 minutes from our house - the only venue we'll go to pretty much).
We will pick them up from my mom's house on the way up to the 1000 Islands. Check in isn't until the afternoon, so we'll have plenty of time to get up there.
We'll be towing the boat so we'll be going slower than normal. Probably not exceeding 65mph or so - trailer tires aren't great and we don't have trailer brakes on this trailer.
So I'm overthinking my packing as per usual.
I'm always paranoid.
We're in town this time, so we're close to all the stores and shops. Last year we were on an island, so we were cut off from the world. If we needed something and didn't have it? We needed to take a boat or JetSki to go get it.
This time...right in front of the public docks and waterfront restaurants and such so it'll be fun. There should be good people watching.
I'm desperately hoping for good weather. Last year was terrible. It rained most of the time.
And the one day it didn't, Rich's boat broke.
So yeah.
I think we deserve good weather this time.

Now I know it's way too early to tell when you live in WNY. Thing change DAILY. That being said, haha. Hahahaha. Hahahahahaha. Of course it's supposed to rain the entire time we're there. |
