Where do I even start?
I had to go to Orlando for a work event. We sponsored a fundraising event for Give The Kids The World Village, which provides a week-long, PAID for, all inclusive trip for critically ill children and their families. It was both beautiful and heart-wrenching.
My boss and another colleague (we all used to work together and legit get along wonderfully), decided we wanted to hit up Disney if we could. The work event was a Friday night...so we'd have to fly home on a Saturday. We decided to extend our trip by one day, hit up Disney and head home Sunday.
I'll post about the events separately since that does deserve its own post.
But's let chat Disney.
The first time I went, I was 5 years old. I have no memory of this trip.
Then we went when I was 10 and my sister was 14. That was a great trip and I have some great memories from that trip.
Then when Mila was 2, we decided to go for one day only - we were down there for a family vacation with some friends and all of our kids were just a little too young to really appreciate it.
Going as a 41 year old and going with other adults? AMAZING.
Simply amazing.
Here's the thing.
I didn't have to plan anything.
My girl Ashley is a Disney fanatic and she planned it all. The park hopper ticket so we could do Magic Kingdom and Epcot, to enjoy the International Food and Wine Festival. She coordinated our Genie+ passes so we could get Lightning Lane fast passes.
You guys. We didn't wait in ANY lines until we came BACK to MK at 8pm. We had completed 11 rides by 11:30am.
It was incredible and so stress-free. I got to sip my coffee, eat my churro and just go with the flow. Amazing.
I am the one who has to plan all the things when we go on vacation.
So to be able to just go and not plan? Awesome.
And, to be honest, I'm really glad I went as an adult with other adults first - before going with the family again.
I kinda know what to do now. We'll go in 2025 since next year is Hawaii.
Ugh. So much fun. So many pictures.
I absolutely LOVED the Fall/Halloween decorations. Crazy to know they flip it in one night to Christmas (on November 1). |
Everywhere I looked I saw these ADORABLE LoungeFly bags. All different styles and designs and characters. So, so cute. I knew I had to get one for me and the girls.

We spent the first 6 or so hours at Magic Kingdom, hitting up the rides and shows. We couldn't get into Epcot until 2pm. Once there, we hit up all the "countries" so we could taste test the food and beverages being offered for the IFWF. It was so much fun.
There were a couple of rides at Epcot that we did too, Soarin' was one of them and it was AMAZING. So gorgeous.
We did the International Food and Wine Festival at Epcot |
Hydroponic Garden that they use for all the restaurants on property! |
Seriously. Mickey Ears on my ice vanilla latte. Come ON. |
Had the BEST TIME. |
The Castle at night just hits different. |
I walked 27,800 steps by the very end of the night. We were at the parks for over 16 hours. I cannot wait to bring the girls!! 2025. Gotta plan. |
