We had such a great time.
Steve slept with Ava on the couch on the second floor because her skin was just SO BAD.
She had scratched herself raw on her arms, legs and neck. Like, oozing, open sores.
I felt SO bad for her.
So, Steve stayed upstairs with her to help soothe her when possible and I slept alone (in the queen bed!)
We had the condo until 11am, but wanted to hit the road early.
We got packed up while the kids played a bit and fished for the last time.
Then we hit the road!
This poor baby. I'm glad I thought to bring her arm/leg wraps - they seem to help a little.
We had the BEST time.
All of us agree.
We are boat people now.
We got home and I immediately unpacked us all and got going on laundry.
I'm forever grateful that my mom babysat the dogs and pigs while we were gone, so we didn't have that added chore of picking them up, paying for it, etc.
We were home early enough in the day (12:30?) that we had the rest of the day to relax.
I was on the phone immediately with Ava's doctor's to try to get her some relief.
It took over 24 hours before I could get Prednisone in her and wow, what a difference!
