Vacation Day 2 - Thousand Islands

On Day 2, we got to pick up our rental boat bright and early. 9am.

We got a 24' Pontoon boat.

It's freaking HUGE!

We had to go under a super low bridge to get out of the marina. I didn't have to duck. At all. I had several inches of clearance above my head.

Bimini top was KEY. Good lord I could not imagine baking in the hot sun without any sort of relief. In the shade it's way breezier and perfect for napping.

Nick made sure we ate REALLY well. LOL.

After breakfast and packing our coolers and such for the day, we hit the water. We were heading to a beach area where we could dock, the kids could swim back and forth to the beach and there were even rocks to jump off of!

Ava was READY. She stayed in that spot for the entire ride - loved the wind in her face.

My people.

I've known this guy since I was 10.

And he and his college buddies rented this other pontoon boat. They were super proud of their Trump flag. OMG. Luckily, the Trump supporters were not overly obnoxious about their love for that idiot.

These girls. Their dads grew up across the street from one another (a few houses down, not directly across). Her dad was the best man at our wedding.

Trying to figure out the bluetooth stereo. Nick and Steve have always been a super cute couple.

These babies. They were born 4 days apart!

It was overcast in the morning, but cleared up nicely

Blue skies, here we come! Also, check out my sweet flip flop tan.

Watching these ships pass by is just incredible

The ride was about 30 minutes by boat and it was a gorgeous ride. It started out cloudy, but got clearer and warmer as we headed closer to our destination.
Potter's Beach! It was amazing here.

This area was super cool. The kids could hang at the beach while the parents hung on the boats and vice versa. Ava and I found a shit ton of little beach stones and rocks for our collection. Mila found a sweet piece of beach glass!

Check them out! They are just so beautiful.

While we were docked with our boat, Rich was able to take everyone for tube rides. We were also able to play around with the jet ski and just traded off.

Two peas in a pod

Mila's very first tubing experience!

She freaking LOVED IT.

Ava's turn! She's one-handing it. lol.

Just check out this backdrop! It was seriously the most beautiful thing.

Dad with both girls!

We spent a lovely day at Potter's Beach and headed back to our condo around 4pm so Nick and I could get started on dinner.

I actually didn't get any pictures of dinner, but we went all out with chicken, steak, salad, salt potatoes, french fries, fresh fruit and more.

After dinner, we took a couple of the kids out so one of the older boys could try wake boarding fo the first time. This boy...is like his father (Rich). The moment he tries something new, he's good at it. He was riding a gas-powered 4-wheeler at 18 months. A dirt bike with no training wheels by 2.

His game face.

And, just like we suspected, on his 4th try, he was up! This boy is 8 people. EIGHT (ok, 9 in August...but still!)

Dad and Mila doing a little evening swim

What an incredible day.

I know I keep using that word.

It just was.

Can't wait for tomorrow.

*I've received permission from parents to post pictures of the kids
